Privacy policy
Mobile Car Clinic uses personal information to assess enquiries, arrange visits, perform authorised work, process payments, issue records and manage service concerns.
Information we use
This may include contact details, vehicle information, the service address or location pin, symptoms, relevant photographs, quotations, approvals, job records and payment references. Do not send identity documents or unrelated sensitive information. MCC does not collect card details through its booking form; the payment provider handles payment credentials.
Access and service providers
Access is limited according to the work being performed. Assigned technicians receive relevant job details. Hosting, payment and communication providers may process information to deliver their services. We do not sell customer information. Any transfer outside South Africa must have an appropriate lawful basis and safeguards.
Google Maps address checks
Our booking form uses Google Maps, Places and Routes to suggest addresses, display the selected location and check service availability and pricing. Your address search and selected location, together with connection information such as your IP address, are processed by Google for these features. We keep the service address you confirm, its place reference and our pricing decision with your booking. We do not send your name, contact number, vehicle details or payment details to Google through these address checks. See the Google Privacy Policy. You can call or WhatsApp MCC if you prefer to arrange an address check directly.
Retention and security
Completed jobs remain in service history while needed for lawful business, accounting, warranty or legal purposes. They are not automatically deleted on completion. Records should not be retained longer than lawfully needed; periodic review, restriction, secure deletion or de-identification must follow MCC’s approved retention schedule. Access controls, secure transport and backups support protection of these records.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or lawful deletion or restriction of your information, and raise a privacy concern through MCC’s published contact details. Identity may need to be verified without collecting unnecessary information. You may also complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Cookies and external services
Essential cookies support the booking, payment and administration functions. Optional analytics or advertising must only be activated with the appropriate notice and consent where required. This design loads web fonts from Google; that request shares connection information such as your IP address with the font provider. Opening a WhatsApp or map link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy terms.
Contact and changes
Use the MCC contact page for privacy requests. This policy’s version is saved when you accept the booking terms. The owner must keep the business identity, privacy contact and retention schedule current.
